RENUKA JAGTIANI

Vice-Chairperson, Landmark Group

Renuka Jagtiani is responsible for spearheading the growth of the Landmark Group, the region’s largest retail and hospitality conglomerate. In her current role as the Vice-Chairperson, Renuka aids the Group’s visionary Chairman and her husband, Micky Jagtiani in shaping the growth strategy. She is responsible for overseeing retail and hospitality operations, entry into new markets, acquisitions, franchise operations and foray into new businesses including the Group’s ecommerce venture LandmarkShops.com. Together, they have charted the Group’s journey as one of the largest retail organizations in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent, with over 2000 outlets, encompassing over 25 million square feet area. Renuka successfully created the franchise division Landmark International, which represents New Look, Koton, Reiss, Lipsy, Funky Fish and Yours in the Middle East. She also plays a key role in developing the Group’s leisure and hospitality business. Renuka was conferred the “Joint Entrepreneur of the Year 2014” at the World Entrepreneurship Forum, “Businesswoman of the Year” at the Gulf Business Industry Awards 2012 and “Outstanding Asian Business Woman of the Year” at the first Asian Business Awards Middle East in 2007.

MANU JESWANI

Director – Landmark Group | Chief Executive Officer – Footwear Division

Manu Jeswani is a Board Member at the Landmark Group and heads the management and expansion of the Group’s footwear brands – Shoe Mart, Shoexpress and Shoe Mart International. A retail veteran, he started his career in the field almost 40 years ago in Spain. In 1978, after a two-year stint in the country, he moved to Bahrain and shortly later joined the Landmark Group. Over the next 10 years he worked closely with Micky Jagtiani and in 1990, with the birth of Shoe Mart, Manu moved to Dubai as Managing Director to set up the first store and took hold of the reins of the
concept. There has been no looking back ever since. He has always been actively involved with the overall business development and retail buying for the brand. The ‘Shoe Mart’ brand has undergone tremendous changes and has upgraded its image over the last few years, to cater to the fashion conscious consumers, under the constant guidance and direction of Manu. In a span of 25 years, his leadership has played a key role in making the Shoe Mart concept one of the largest footwear and leather accessories chains in the MENA region with a store presence of over 150 stores and strong expansion
plans. A strong believer in ‘Work is Worship’, Manu’s hard work, passion and perseverance is truly inspirational.
He has consistently taken- up new challenges and built brands that have conquered their category.

MANISH JESWANI

Managing Director Eaters LLC

In his last job, Manish Jeswani was the Business Head at Candelite mandated to drive the organization’s holistic operations across the marketing, buying, human resources, project management, as well as finance and logistics functions. Within a short period of his appointment to the role of Business Head, Jeswani successfully formed the brand’s operations team and led the implementation of a comprehensive infrastructure framework. He is particularly regarded for delivering results through establishing successful collaborations with existing and potential suppliers. In this context, the launch of the cupcakes and the popcorn franchise business along with the distribution business are some of his most significant contributions. Within a short span of time, he was able to take the Candelite portfolio from 6 to 28 outlets. With over six years of experience in operations and brand development, Jeswani has consistently led corporate business development and maintained a diverse project portfolio working in various function. Previously, Jeswani was associated with food mark as the Business Development and Brand Manager for its first n-house Pan-Asian restaurant, Wild Ginger. During his tenure as Business Development he was tasked with building franchising opportunities & selecting best possible brands, negotiating lease contracts for all the location pursued and approved. He is credited with the development of a standard operating procedure for the brand Wild Ginger and delivering effective training to staff. His efforts helped boost the sales of Wild Ginger to 400 per cent in just under eight months.
